Mondo might bruise a few wallets tomorrow. The company has partnered with Sideshow Collectibles and a handful of notable poster artists to produce a set of posters for thePlanet of the ApesFilms. There are five prints in the series, one for each of the primary classic films. (Planet,Beneath,Escape,ConquestandBattle— sorry, Tim Burton remake fans andRise of the Planet of the Apeslovers.)

The five prints will be sold as a set online tomorrow, Thursday January 26, with a sixth bonus print included. The price is $230; not bad at all for a Mondo poster set. Any remainders not sold as sets tomorrow will go up for sale on Friday; Sideshow Collectibles will eventually offer variants of each print on the Sideshow website. The artists areMartin Ansin,Ken Taylor,Rich Kelly,Phantom City CreativeandFlorian Bertmer. If you purchase the entire set of five, you will also receive the GO APE! poster painted byJason Edmiston.

Since the Go Ape! poster is in an edition of only 295, that might be the cap for full sets. Otherwise, the smallest edition is 320; either way, there will be around 300 sets to go around tomorrow.
