Exclusive: Watch The Suicide Squad IMAX Countdown
IMAX and Warner Bros have provided us with the countdown toSuicide Squadto exclusively premiere on /Film. I still think the IMAX countdown is one of the best demos of 3D and surround sound in theaters today, and as you probably know, over the last couple years IMAX has been customizing their countdown pre-show video for some of the bigger movie blockbusters. They first did this withGodzillain 2014 which included the iconic Godzilla roar over the IMAX logo. IMAX received a great fan reception to this and have experimented with it on a few other films such asMission Impossible: Rogue NationandFurious 7. The latest customized IMAX countdown video was created forSuicide Squad, which hits theaters on August 5th 2016. But you don’t have to wait until then to see the countdown. Suicide Squad IMAX Countdown
IMAX worked with agency OneNinth and Warner Bros to create the countdown leveraging assets fromSuicide Squad’s campaign. For those of you who haven’t seen the previously customized IMAX countdowns, I have included them below for your viewing enjoyment. As you’ll see, theSuicide Squadcountdown is the most elaborate yet. I love that IMAX spends the extra money to create these customized videos to get moviegoers excited about a big event film, especially since those seeing the countdown have already purchased their tickets. I guess it just adds to the IMAX experience.
