Here’s When The Marvel Netflix Shows Arrive On Disney+
Ever since “Daredevil” TV series debuted in 2015, Netflix has been home to some pretty key Marvel content, with several beloved shows set within the company’s cinematic universe living exclusively on the streaming service after a landmark deal cut in 2013. But nothing is forever in the age of the streaming wars, and the Netflix Marvel shows are set to have a new home on Disney+ in the not-too-distant future.
Aswe recently learned, “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist,” “The Punisher,” and “The Defenders” all left Netflix as of March 1. That opened questions as to where the shows would end up. Now, we have a definitive answer with all of these shows set to debut on Disney+ this month. So here is when you will be able to watch all of the Marvel shows that used to be on Netflix, as well as everything else you need to know about their impending move.
Mark your calendars
Like all of the other Marvel content onDisney+, the shows will appear in the Marvel section that is at the top of the streaming service’s home page. It remains to be seen how the shows will be shuffled into the section, be it with the rest of the live-action shows or with a dedicated “Defenders” section, or something along those lines. Either way, Disney will undoubtedly make it easy for people to find these shows in their new home.
New parental controls
Something to keep in mind is that these shows are far more mature in terms of content than we are accustomed to in the MCU, especially the shows that debuted over the past year on Disney+. As such, some have wondered if Disney might shuffle these shows to Hulu instead. That didn’t prove to be the case, but Disney is going to introduce some new parental controls to the platform once"The Defenders"and the rest of the solo shows arrive on the platform in order to keep them from younger viewers if parents so desire.
