I did the whole midnight book release thing forHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and refused to sleep until I’d completed the novel — you might say that I’m kind of a fan. And as a fan, I’m thrilled to see that this scene looks much like I imagined while reading.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the eighth and final entry in the Harry Potter series, opensJuly 15, 2011. The film was directed byDavid Yatesand starsDaniel Radcliffe,Rupert Grint,Emma Watson,Ralph Fiennes,Alan Rickman,Helena Bonham Carter, and many, many others….
… includingTom Felton, who also stars in this summer’sRise of the Planet of the Apes. For which we also have a clip! (How’s that for a segue?) The prequel/reboot of thePlanet of the Apesfranchise tells the story of how humans' experimentation with genetic engineering created the intelligent apes, sparking an interspecies war.

And now, for something completely different: MTV also premiered a new clip fromThe Help, a bit of summer counter-programming that features neither wizardry nor crazy science, and only metaphorical monsters and explosions. The ’60s-set drama follows a young woman named Skeeter (Emma Stone) who writes a book about the treatment of “the help” in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. The following scene sets up what kind of woman Skeeter is, and what kind of world she lives in.
The Helpwas written and directed byTate TaylorfromKathryn Stockett’s novel of the same title. Stone is just one of an impressive cast that also includesViola Davis,Bryce Dallas Howard, andOctavia Spencer. The film opensAugust 12, 2011.
