One Last ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Trailer Spotlights Black Widow
For all the talk about howFurious 7officially marked the start of the movie season this year, April’s actually a pretty mellow month for wide releases. May is when the action really gets going, starting withAvengers: Age of Ultron.
Marvel has not been stingy about releasing footage for this highly anticipated superhero team-up. And while they’re bound to run out eventually, they’ve managed to squeeze out a little bit more for a final promo. Check out one moreAvengers Age of Ultrontrailer after the jump.
IMDbunveiled the latest, and likely last,Avengers Age of Ultrontrailer. Much of this is recycled footage from previous trailers, but there’s some cool new stuff mixed in as well.
This trailer is all about fun, in contrast to some of the earlier ads that have focused on the gravity and seriousness of the situation. It also puts shifts the focus toScarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. She may not have her own eponymous film series, the way teammates Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man do, but she’s nevertheless emerged as one of the franchise’s most popular characters. It’s especially entertaining to see her team up with Cap here, since it was about a year ago thatWinter Soldierestablished the growing friendship between them.

Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Chris Evans as Captain America. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, p.g.a., Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963. Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Jeremy Latcham, Patricia Whitcher, Stan Lee and Jon Favreau serve as executive producers. Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” opens in U.S. theaters on August 07, 2025.
