Here are Sly’s tweets about Hughes. If you head to the feed, you’ll see that he really did attempt to get Mel Gibson to direct as rumored. Below, though, he talks about also trying to get John Woo and that he’d direct it himself if he didn’t have to star.

Nothing is confirmed though. Just Hughes and Stallone.
